Market Options
Types of Basketball Bets at wm996
Learn about the available markets so you are better prepared before you start betting.
Match Winner (Moneyline)
Pick the team you expect to win the match. The most straightforward bet type and a good fit for newcomers just starting out with basketball betting.
Point Spread (Handicap)
A team is given a points head start or deficit. This makes an uneven match more interesting to bet on, as the handicap evens out the chances for both sides.
Total Points (Over/Under)
Predict whether the total combined points in a match will be above or below a set number. This market is popular because you do not need to pick the winner directly.
Halftime Betting
Focus only on the result at half time. This market suits players who want to read the early pace of the game before making a decision.
Parlay and Mix Parlay
Combine several betting selections on a single ticket. Returns multiply when all selections win, making mix parlay an attractive option for players who are confident across multiple matches at once.
Live Betting (In-Play)
Place bets while a match is in progress. Odds shift according to the current state of play — more dynamic and responsive than pre-match betting.

Tips for Betting on Basketball Wisely
Good betting starts with understanding — not just luck. Here are some approaches that can help with your betting decisions.
Check Team Statistics
Win records, average points per match and home/away performance give useful indicators before making a betting choice.
Monitor Player Injuries
The absence of a key player can completely shift the balance of a match. Always check the latest injury list before selecting a market.
Back-to-Back Schedules
Teams playing back-to-back matches or working through a heavy schedule tend to show a drop in performance. New players often overlook this factor.
Manage Your Bankroll with Discipline
Set a daily betting limit and stick to it. A structured approach helps you bet for longer and more consistently over the long term.
